Message about leaving sin and repenting because of Jesus' death on the cross for our sins*

 * *Gethsemane* : Jesus suffered hematidrosis, a rare condition where extreme stress causes blood to mix with sweat, making the skin extremely sensitive. He knew every brutal moment that was about to come. 'And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.' ( *Luke* *22:44* ) 😥

 * *The Brutal Scourging* :

    *Weapon used* : Roman flagrum (whip with leather straps embedded with sharp bones and metal)

   * *How many lashes* : 39 (Jewish law limited to 40 minus one).

    *Pain Comparison* : Like getting multiple deep cuts from a razor-sharp knife with every lash. 'Then Pilate took Jesus and flogged him.' ( *John 19:1* )

   * *Medical Insight* : Flesh torn open, exposing muscle; nerve endings ripped, sending unbearable pain signals to the brain; heavy blood loss led to hypovolemic shock. 💔

  *The Crown of Thorns* : Thorns were *1-2 inches* long and razor-sharp.

 *The pain level was comparable to hammering nails into the skull.*

 -It caused extreme nerve pain especially to Trigerminal nerve

-intense bleeding

-dizziness and nausea.

> *And the soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head and arrayed him in a purple robe.' *(John 19:2)* 👑*

 *Carrying the Cross* :

   * *Weight* : Around 300 pounds (136 kg).

   * *Distance* : Nearly 650 yards (600 meters).

   * *Condition of Jesus* : -Severe dehydration

-no energy left

-open wounds rubbing

-frequent falls.

> *And when they led him away, they seized Simon of Cyrene, who was coming from the country, and laid on him the cross, to carry it behind Jesus.' ( *Luke 23:26* ) 🚶🏽‍♂️*

 *The Nails Through Hands & feet:*

 *Nail Size:* Around 5 to 7 inches long (about the size of a modern spike)

   * *Where* : Wrist (piercing the *median nerve* ,causing excruciating

-burning pain like electric shocks) and feet (between bones, severing tendons & nerves, making standing feel like stepping on broken glass every second)

> *And* when they came to the place that is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on his right and the other on his left.' (Luke 23:33) 🔩

 *The Horror of Crucifixion*

He suffered for *6 hours* (9 AM - 3 PM)

-Death was caused by *asphyxiation*

-torn ligaments & dislocated shoulders

-the heart struggling to pump blood, and extreme dehydration

 *It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon.' (Luke 23:44) ⏳*

 * *The Final Moments*

His words were

 "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?".

 *Jesus called out with a loud voice, 'Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.' When he had said this, he breathed his last.' (Luke 23:46)*

He likely died from *cardiac* *rupture* due to extreme trauma

When a soldier pierced His side, blood & water flowed separately, a sign of death from shock. ✝️

 * *Why Did He Go Through This?*

- *But he was pierced for our transgressions,he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us

peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.' (Isaiah 53:5)*

 He chose to suffer this much for you and me

This was love at its highest form. ❤️🙏🏽

 * *A Call to Repentance:* Jesus' death on the cross is a powerful call for us to turn away from sin and return to God in true repentance

 ' *Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.' (Acts 3:19)*

 Through His sacrifice, we can receive forgiveness and new life. Let us live lives that show gratitude for this immense love by forsaking our sinful ways and following Him. 🌟
